Our storyBali since 2011
Sandwiches the way you like them, bread baked every morning and a family of regulars, riders and friends around it.
“Come in just for food and stay for two hours.”

Since 2011
Swich has been making sandwiches the way you like them since 2011. All these years on, we still bake every morning, still buy from local farmers, and we're still the kind of place where someone orders extra, someone says “let's share”, and suddenly the table's full and no one's in a rush to leave.
Today there are three Swich shops, in Berawa, in Seminyak and on the sand at Legian Beach, and a whole family of regulars, riders, staff and friends who make them feel like home.
As a small local business, our commitment is to craft food with care, support our community and spread the Swich Power.

How we got here
Familiar favourites, new kids on the blok and one big move. The highlights so far.
We start making sandwiches the way you like them. The OGs, like the POW and the Chooken, are still on the menu today.
Berawa, Seminyak and Swich By The Waves on Legian Beach, our home break. All open every day, with bread from our own bakery.
Chef Jadi's special creations at Swich Berawa, including a colourful, crunchy, vegan Eggplant Romesco.
Due to popular demand (and our own cravings), the Eggplant Romesco joins the menu at every Swich.
We move into a new space on Jl. Pantai Berawa, still in the same neighbourhood. Same Swich, more of the things you love.
What we're about
No mission statement on the wall. Just a few things we keep doing, every day, in every shop.
The way you like it
Pick your bread, pile it up, sauce it your way. Make-your-own has always been part of Swich.
Baked every morning
Our bread is made from scratch every day, in limited numbers, without preservatives.
From our neighbourhood
As a local business we source our ingredients locally, which keeps Bali's farm community thriving.
Swich family
Familiar faces, shared tables and a team that brightens every shop with a smile.
Care for home
Small, thoughtful choices for the island, one sandwich (and coffee) at a time.
Power for everyone
Vegan or not, gluten-free or not, big kid or little legend, there's a Swich for you.
#SwichPower
Swich Power is the energy you get from good food and good people. Fuel before a surf, between skate sessions, or for a long lunch with friends. Meet the riders who carry it.
The OG
Darma Yasa “Bleronk”
Our OG Swich rider. Years of surf comp results, podiums and clips from contests across Indonesia and beyond. To us he's the guy always checking the forecast, first to know when the swell changes, and somehow always at the best bank on the island. Legian is his home break.
@darmayasaronkSkate
Wayan Malana
Skating since she was four, from the streets of Bali to the international scene. One of Indonesia's brightest young talents.
Surf
I Gede Darma Wisesa
From a four-year-old grom to deep barrels and clean airs, balancing school and surf. One to watch in the lineup.
Out in the community
We sell food around the same beaches, comps and celebrations as our customers. Being part of it is the best bit.
Comp days
We pull up to boardrider comps with sandwiches to keep everyone going, and cheer from the beach with our home-break crew, the Legian Boardriders Club.
Giving back
Proud supporters since their very first Community Market. On market day we serve sandwiches and fresh juices, and our stall's profits go to Community Assist.
Biawak forever
We meet at Legian Beach to remember our friend Biawak with a beach clean-up, a paddle-out and an airshow. All the raffle profits from the day went to his family.
Celebrating our own
Good people, good energy and plenty of Swich to keep everyone fuelled, like the launch of Rio Waida's new R-File board with Sharp Eye Surfboards.
Our footprint
Looking after the environment has always been one of our core values. Sustainability is an ongoing journey, so we keep making small, thoughtful choices, from the food we make to the packaging it comes in.
Compostable cups for every takeaway drink.
Cassava-based straws instead of plastic ones.
Bagasse salad bowls made from sugarcane fibre, with recyclable lids.
Wooden forks and spoons for cutlery.
Local produce that keeps Bali's farming community thriving.
Beach clean-ups at our home break in Legian.
The Swich crew
A little appreciation for the team who serve up sandwiches every day and brighten our shops with their smile.
